Chevy Chase

Cozy living room with warm red walls, beige sofa with pillows, patterned armchairs, three round tufted ottomans, two table lamps, framed art on the walls, large windows with curtains and Roman shades, and a woven rug on the floor.

A meticulous renovation of this American Foursquare home centered on the painstaking restoration of its original oak paneling and cabinetry. New millwork crafted from reclaimed wood was seamlessly integrated to match the existing details, preserving the home’s original character. A thoughtful mix of historic colors, antique furnishings, and contemporary pieces creates interiors that feel layered, collected, and timeless. The addition of two shed dormers transformed the third-floor attic into a welcoming guest suite with two bedrooms and a bathroom, expanding the home while respecting its architectural integrity.
